It's a wonderful image. Might I find out how you accomplished it? Is it 3 merged shots, or did you achieve it with one? Do tell. |

Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges? Er...just not in that order... :)
Great shot! I hope I'm right or I'd be a bad NYer...

It is not a merge. It is just a night study. A merge or composite would not be allowed. Yes to KDkaboom Brooklyn, mangattan and Williamsburg. |

A cool shot Graphicfunk!
Here's my only out-take. It was pretty week technically and I wouldn't have entered it for that reason. I was in the right place with the wrong lens. But I like the composition.

Daniel! That is stunning!
I can only assume that what you did submit is doing better, though I honestly don't know how. Your city panos are breathtaking!
Here is a shot I did during the Travel Guides Challenge that I wondered if I should have submitted, but after less than 24 hrs into the voting, am sure I made the right choice (for once!)

Nice shots Daniel and Brad.
Seeing these out takes worries me because judging by my score my in take is actually an out take :(

Oh but I really like this... Even with my controversial voting scale this would have been an 8 from me!

Yes, a lirrle more sharpness would have made this a good contender. |

I really like the low horizon in your shot. Getting down lower I think may have allowed you to make the horizon the far edge of the beach thus emphasizing the umbrellas more. (unless of course you were already lying down)

Thanks Graphicfunk, I have every version of sharp on this one, what I needed was a bigger zoom. This is a small crop of a larger picture. I just couldn't get the clarity and detail with a 200mm.
Canaioti:
I tried shooting this lower on the horizon for the same reason you suggested. It hides the water on the far side of the strand and it looses that narrow strip of island look.
KAVEYâ€Â¦. An 8, REALLY?
An 8 on the new Kavey scale?
Now I wonder if I entered the wrong picture againâ€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦ :(
I'll let you know when you post a score on my actual entry....
Then I'll either pace around the forum pulling all my hair out or I'll buy you that beer to encourage a festive attitude for your voting curve. :)
