I'm not sure whether to roll my eyes and moan or be in awe of the love of photography and food. Restaurant makes smartphonography plates

O... M... F... G.

ETA:
After some thought, I realized why this struck such a sour note with me. They are charging $155/hr for folks to participate, and they have apparently had a rousing success with it. So what's wrong with that, eh?
Well for starters (pun intended), it teaches the participants *nothing* about photography. In fact, it goes out of its way to avoid teaching anything. It positions the device, sets the background/subject relationship, pretty much does everything but push the button. No effort at all required on the part of the participant. Ach. We might be forgiven, then, for thinking that folks would see the lack of any real value and dismiss it... but no, apparently there are plenty of folks willing to plunk down that kind of coin to learn nothing. No wonder it gives me indigestion!

It seemed like a couple of years ago people were posting pictures of their meals on Facebook. I assumed it stopped when so many were shunned. I think if someone posted a video of their meal spinning around i would need to jab at them a little ;)

You could take it to the next level, and take dozens of images of the food at different angles, combine them into a 3D model and use a 3D printer to print it out and enjoy.

I want one of those dishes for my macro stuff! Be really awesome for it..

Seriously genius if they are making over 100$ for something so simple...I have a couple empty buildings that are resturant areas.. we can open one up in the midwest! Why didn't I think of that but then I would add the special lighting and then it would be a teaching kinda course, maybe add those little baby tripod for the real dlsr then too..maybe have the wireless so people can upload them up to local TV that would be displayed all around the room...add our famous local beer brewerys
damn damn the possibilities.... LOL

Ooo wait.. I don't cook..
