Went to see the last Montreal Expos game ever in Montreal tonight. Took about 300 shots all at ISO 1600, amazing picture quality and Camera performance! Check them out...

Great photos. I usually do pretty well with my EOS 10D, but for some reason, tonight wasn't working well. Think I was too far away. I usually can sit closer. (Yankees, in case you're wondering). I did get a great shot that I've been trying for for a long time, but there's a lot of grain. Had the ISO at 1600 as well, but I think I may have had the F-Stop at 8.0 by accident. Ah well...I'll post tomorrow to my section.

This is my usual type of shot, in terms of clarity and color. But then again it's a day game. Better lighting A bit too much grain, but that's more the editing then the picture taking.

It's a sad, sad day in Montreal.

You know what makes it worse: that the last team we played had to be the Marlins. Jeffrey Loria should rot in hell.

Edit: Oh, yeah. Nice photos. How did you get all that gear in there. Do you have a press pass?

Yeah I had never needed ISO 1600 before and had only used it once on my Rebel, it was ok but the performance of the Mark II at ISO 1600 just blows me away!

the 10D is pretty good with the 1600 too. But as far as press passes go, In Yankees stadium, you don't need one to bring your camera and lenses, but you can't bring a tripod, or monopod without one, because it's viewed as a potential weapon.

It depends on the camera bag. Backpacks, no. I leave mine at home, but there are camera bags now that look like messenger bags on the outside. Those should be fine so far as they're not huge.
