Would anyone want to buy the apple watch, it's beyond me, with its tiny screen and all, who could be bothered, when a phone is enough.
I for one will not, but it'll be interesting to see who how well it sells, whose thinking of purchasing one?

My wife pre-ordered one.
I stopped wearing watches years ago, and I don't think I could ever go back. I just feel so much more comfortable without something on my wrist making me sweaty (I get very warm very easily).
I'm curious to see how much she actually ends up wearing it... |

But why?? Bc she needs it or wants it? You know I'm being fastidious. Just looks like apple trying to cash in on a product no one actually needs. |

GASP! You're not questioning the entire underlying basis of the capitalist/consumer economic model ??? |

I like my Timex analog watches. Had one for almost 5 years and lost it somewhere, got another.
Maybe someday I'd consider a "smart" watch, but they don't seem like a very smart way to spend money to me right now. |

I like the idea of making calls with a watch but hate wearing watches. Also some interesting health/fitness apps made possible as far as I am aware. Won't be buying one myself but would prob get one if I was rich |

It's today story. Because we have the technology, we make new products. Because there are new products, we buy them. It is not important whether we need them or not. And it's not only Apple doing this. Google, Samsung and other do the same with their glasses and watches.
And don't we do the same with camera gear. Many times I read in the forum threads about people buying new gear and when I have a look at their current gear, I'm really surprised. But then, everyone can decide what to do with their own money, can't they? |

Didn't people say the same thing about digital cameras?
The chants of "Film rules Digital drools" is VERY faint now.
Heck I even know a few cell phone holdouts.
To each his own, if you think buying the iwatch is silly what about people who bought Canons? :P
