Refraction is the change in direction of propagation of a wave due to a change in its transmission medium. The phenomenon is explained by the conservation of energy and conservation of momentum. Due to change of medium, the phase velocity of the wave is changed but its frequency remains constant.

are
some
examples
Use your imagination to create a memorable image using refraction, which does NOT include THIS technique.

With the exclusion of the water-drop type refraction, I suppose it is different than

and this?

I guess I just really like the "displacement" quality of the refraction, rather than the "repetition" quality. |
