Man that thing is only a 4X!
My Lexar 1gb is a 40X.
How bad can 4X be :)

I don't think they get any slower then 4x. Its not a problem if you shoot one shot at a time and are patient, but I'd spend the extra money and get the faster one.

Approx write speeds in a 10D for the Lexar 4x 256MB CF card: 1012K/sec (JPEG) and 984K/sec for RAW files. These numbers are taken from here: //www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007-6111
Scroll down to the bottom of the table and the Lexar card is 6th from the bottom.
