We had our annual Oyster Run motorcycle rally here in Anacortes, WA., USA this past weekend. I took over 150 pictures in some difficult light, fog rolling in and out with bright sun. But I'm happy with some of the shots. Here are three with a link to about 20 more if you are interested. Comments and critique are welcome.

Of the three I like the one with the trees in the background, however I have to agree with Jeremy about cutting off the bike, unless of course you were making reference to "Chopper".

I really liked This one and This one
They both were wonderful and funny.
This one also cought my eye, but I find the black hand on the right and the wheel behind the rider's back a bit distracting and un-necessary. Maybe you can clone them out?

Thanks for the review. I agree about the cloning. I have not spent much time on them as yet but I will. It was mostly for fun.

I cropped it down that way to cut out some other distrations. I was also afraid that the brighness of the background was a bit much. But it was the most vibrant of the shots I took that day. Thanks for the reply Colette. |

JB...
Some pretty classic "easyrider" shots. Best shot is the candid of the two facing. Real nice. The yellow custom is also framed well. The 2 gals in chaps is a typical "oogle" shot. The capture of the biker on the black softail with ape hangers is well done. A bit much on the depth of field with most of the shots and better framing would enhance a couple as feet or other items are either cut off or too much background in included. Appears that various outlaw clubs were present. It looks like a Bandito charter member patch in one of the photos. When shooting outlaws, any...but espicially the big 4 (Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, Pagans) beware that many have NO interest in their picture being taken. Due to various reasons. Just be mindful of the subject matter and act respectfully.
Solid shots. Especially like the candid of the 2 facing, as mentioned above. |

Thanks for the comments Flash. Got ya on the Bad Boys. We had mostly Banditos in that category but they were OK with the pics for the most part. Too many people taking pictures to stop anyway.
