I have two LoewePro bags, a Stealth Reporter 200 AW and a little Nova 1. I use the Stealth with a lens case attached for the 10D with one or two normal or medium lenses plus a few accessories for short trips and shoots. It's too small to accomodate much, but otherwise a great little bag, good in bad weather. The lil Nova houses my F717 plus accessories only (when I don't want both cams along).

Most of the time (even around town), I carry all equipment in a LoewePro Photo Trekker Classic: two bodies, at least one long lens, wide angle zoom, a normal lens, filters, remote, card poch, cleaning equipment, manuals, everything. It's a large bag for what I have leaving enough space for chargers, cables, rain coat and whatnot. It lacks a built-in rain cover, which I depend on in these regions. I bought one separately for ten bucks at a mountain equipment store. I also purchased half a dozen straps to secure a heavy tripod in every conceivable position.

I like the Photo Trekker Classic, because it has great capacity without the bulk and extra weight of some packs I tried. It's also more comfortable to carry than the new and improved versions.

Another pack I tried and really liked was the CompuTrekker. A little shallow, perhaps (the computer compartment takes up an inch or so), but sufficiently roomy for most needs, light and soooo... comfortable.

I feel LoewePro makes decent equipment.

I have a LowePro Nova Mini for my F717 and it's a great bag but just can't hold much.

i am just carying my camera and one lens, i use a really old ugly blue cullmann slr single camera and lens case... it is just the size of my 10d and look like i have some old junk in it. otherwise i use a roots camera and computer bag. it is good, but the velcro inside is not strong enough, the dividers move around all the time.. that is annoying, but it is nice it doesn't say LOWEPRO on it, saying lots of camera goodies inside.

Still have to put n for the RoadWired PodZilla! D70 with either 18-70 or 50mm on with the other beneath. 70-300 in one side pocket and the SB600 in the other...misc stuff (LOTS!) packed in. Carry it with a bilateral shoulder harness on my lower chest upper abdomen (especially when hiking or backpacking) and can throw over a shoulder if needed.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. The Podzilla looks like it might have been a good second choice for me, though too shallow to hold the camera + lens, or the Novas. Like the Off Trail, these would have been my pic since I want access to the bag while "on me" (which eliminated the backpacks, which otherwise would be my first choice).

I went ahead and ordered the Loweprow Off Trail 2. I hope it's not too big for a waist pack or it will be a waste ;-). It's supposed to be here Oct 5--I'll follow up and let you know how it is.
