2015 Iditarod

I am just fascinated with the iditarod, I am not sure if it had to do with the movie Balto or the fact it is just the dogs in general.

Anyhoo, these photos always crack me up and I so wish I could witness this thing first hand. I guess the snow was not there this year so they had to plan another new route. Nevertheless, the photos are still amazing as always. Not sure on who else would be interested in this, but I find it kinda fun. I just love the dog photos in these.

Mush on!

I was in Anchorage and Fairbanks when the Iditarod was being run in 2000, I can tell you that the whole state catches Iditarod-fever and almost everything comes to a screeching halt and all eyes are on the race. It is also a great time to see the Aurora Borealis, but is still pretty darn cold! (at least this California girl thought so!)

that would be a dream to see that LOL! I don't think they have anything else major going on in that side of the world though

Due to the conditions of the course, it's interesting to see that a bike beat the dogs this time around.

My former landlord has participated in the Iditarod. Very interesting stories and images. The guy was an expert in those huskies, even wrote a book about it. Interesting fellow!

Those are the kind of people I love sitting around the campfire with and having to listen to everything they had to say, very fortunate your able to know someone like that, I am sure he told some great stories too
