I really like both of what you both entered more than your outtakes..
This was my entry
This was soo much fun and almost addicting, I spent 4hrs playing with different lights with my little flashlight LOL
Out of 2 full SD cards, these were my other favs straight out of the camera and shot in jpg because I forgot to change it back to RAW after the minimal challenge, these were not straightened or cropped.
I did more of the light than less of it.. but sometimes I wonder if less is better?

The mesh in the glass is most visible in your entry
I can imagine that you had a fun time playing around with light - this happened to me when I was shooting this:
