What about with sporting photos, rugby shoots etc where there is a team involved. Do you need to get a release from each of the players, from the management? People on the sidelines?
I've just started taking some street candid pics and will need to download a model release to carry with me I think.......street shots seem to be a bit of a grey area, who needs to sign a release and who doesn't. There's often quite a few recognisable people in the scene.
At the moment I'm not selling these images but I would like to keep my options open on that issue, so the model release thing is important.
thanks for your help

A good rule of thumb is, if you are going to sell it and the person is identifiable, you need to have a release.

I sure I read on here that sportsmen/women and crowds don't fall into the 'requires release' field. A packed stadium would make it impossible to get a release if you were on the other side of the park and the players? well am sure they would relish being photographed???
