... in a good, or bad way.
I was reading the other forum on the front page currently "Most depressing movie ever?" and it made me think of another movie that I wanted to share, but it didn't fit the thread theme.
The movie I was thinking of is called "I am David". Some of it could fit the other thread, but overall it didn't. I'll leave it at that to not spoil it for those that decide to watch it. :-)

"Pulp Fiction" surprised the hell out of me, actually. Ditto Don's choice of "From Dusk to Dawn", another Tarantino work. More recently, I was totally surprised (in a completely different way) by an extraordinary Japanese film, Departures. Found it on Netflix Streaming, had never heard of it, even though it had won the Best Foreign Film Oscar in 2009. Stunning movie.
