Would this work? Two Sigma EF 500 Super DG flash units as slaves, one as main light, one as fill light and some sort of transmitter on the camera to act as a master. What do you guys think? I alrady own one of the flash units.

I think the Sigma units are compatible with the Canon IR slave protocol. In that case, you could use the ST-E2 transmitter on your camera to control both flash units.

Maybe someone else can shed more light on how the Sigma and Canon work together, if at all. |

Crap, I don't suppose there are any 3rd party flashes that work with the Nikon iTTL on the D70?
I'm getting the feeling that Nikon is screwing me over...
I might have to switch to Canon... |
