I will be entering thid in a local photo contest and I was wondering if I could get some advice.

I love the colors and contrast in this image. But I would like it to be *much* closer up on the riders. There's too much wasted space. |

It is kind of like a Travel guide. It is to make people want to visit here.

Try cropping your photo similar to the picture below. Sorry for the distortion but the best I could do from with the small picture posted. Maybe this will help. Just my 2 cents.

Travis, it is a great shot! I really like the colors and the subjects. The only prob i have is where the subject is placed. My eyes are following the subject right out of the picture and leaves the whole right side of the shot not very interesting. Know what I mean.
So have the subjects walking or riding horse on the right side if facing left. Not very often I will see a good shot otherwise.
