Alright so I know some cameras are supporting wireless network connections. I was wondering if there was a way to do this with a rebel or any other cameras that aren't built to do this. If so One could just shoot to a laptop nearby maybe? I found this but I don't know if that'll do it. Any ideas?

I don't think that would work with the DR because you wouldn't be able to close the CF door.
