For my entry into the Cliche challenge I am using a simple program called "Microsoft Picture it". I have used the contrast, brightness, and details filters only to enhance my picture. Is this acceptable? Thanks for your reply. |

If you don't select a single individual feature of your photo and alter IT you will be OK. ie: As long as the adjustment is done to the whole photo file it is legal. You did not select (or de-select) any features (sections of the photo) when you used the "Details" filter did you? I don't think you did. Normally these filters arbitrairly sharpen the edges of different colors automatically for you.
I hope this helps.

Thank you David. That helps. No I did not individually select or deselect any part of the photo nor did I use any "special effects" filters, but I was surprised at how interesting the use of the combination of the contrast, brightness and detail filters made the picture. I hope the picture does not mislead people when they see it. |

And I hope I haven't mislead you either. Maybe one of the more knowlegable will verify.
