After a bit of dithering, and pondering, I've bought myself something genuinely compact that I can carry everywehere without being paranoid about it. I've gone for the Fuji A340, as I've always liked what they do with their cameras, especially the simpler ones.
Anyhow, here's a few smaples from the first couple of days for your delectation (or otherwise)

| Nice shots, I really like the reflections in the windows in the "over water" photo. |

seriously.. Great shots Ed.. Though I am wondering if you are getting a DSLR in the future? |

Ha! Actually this persuance of the impacts of diagonals in composition is something that's been coming along for a while - even before the interview. It's a common theme in a lot of Kertesz' work, and a conscious effort to investigate it on my part. Note the similarities in 'below ground' and 'escape route'? nested triangles again, just like with the signs and lettering in 'making a point'.

I like the way you eliminate the clutter in city shots.. something that I find really hard to do. Do you spend ages looking for a suitable angle and environment?
