I have just started to play around with Virtual Photographer and realized it saves in a native format that I am unfamiliar with. I couldn't find the "saved" image in my folders arfterwards. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!!

I had the exact same problem with this software, when your finished with the image you go to the file tab and "save as" then rename the photo and save as a jpeg.
