Other options:

I swapped out Crail Harbour for the Causeway at the very last moment - not sure the other one would have done any better.

I preferred the composition of the one I entered, with the diagonal line ending at the corner of the photo. Guess not too many others liked it, though.

I found it difficult to choose my entry on this one and now wonder if I made the right decision?

I often have that problem. To my eye most of your displayed images for this challenge/outtakes are comparable in quality. I think I may favor the one I left in the quotation the best, but not by much. I'm also willing to bet there are plenty of people who would disagree with me. It's just all so subjective. (For what it is worth, I didn't get around to voting in this challenge, although I often score your work pretty well.)

Thanks Jeff - I really appreciate the feedback and good to know you felt the contenders were comparable. I entered the one that I felt the water was the primary element. I feared with the ones featuring ducks that people would say the duck was the subject, not the water otherwise I would have entered this one

And pleased to hear you often score my work well:)

It must have been a tough choice. My favourite is the Crail Harbour one.

I don't shoot a lot of abstracts, but I liked this one.

Here were a couple of outtakes that were, at least for me, a bit more conventional:

I agree with Paul. And, with a username of nygold I think you had to go with your entry.

I agree with the choice you made Mark. And not too shabby a result.

I like your entry.
I think you would have some voters say there wasn't enough water in your first outtake and
no face in the second outtake.

I would have chose the one you entered due to the face being visible.

I think you made the right call with your entry BUTT I do like this one.

In the end though I think they would have scored about the same.

I think your entry is much better and more creative than your outtake.
I also think the platic bags and the empty bottles are what kept it under a 6 overall.
