sandisk 256 are my primary cards, and i've never had a problem that i didn't cause (like doing something stupid before the buffer finished writing, or using it outside the camera, then putting it back in and not reformatting in-camera). looks like a great price. |

SanDisk makes the Ultra II which is faster than the one you posted at Amazon. This is a great price, so if it's in your budget go for it. I think (and maybe some of the more knowledgable folks will jump in) that your camera has to be able to support the higher speed. If it doesn't, it just works at the normal speed (or up to the speed that your camera will do). I have a 256 Sandisk and it writes just fine for me, I don't really notice a delay.
Amazon has other deals on faster cards if you think you'd like to jump for one of those. Lexar 12x |

Does anyone know of a better price from a reputable dealer for a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II than this deal from Dell? I thought $163.76 was pretty great:

SanDisk is the granddad of compact flash so the technology is good. I started with SanDisk even washed one with my clothes and it still works, but I have found other brands to perform as well or better. I run Lexar and PQI and never had an issue.
From TechBargains
Near the middle of the page,
ED: ... my bad a put a SD card here ...
They also have a lexar x80 1G CF a little further down for $114 after a rebate.

I found SanDisk 512s at Costco for about $45, too. Great deal, I thought! |

Is this card fast enough? Do you need the ultraII for optimum performance of
1. 20D
2. Rebel/300D |

I bought a Sandisk card of this type, and found it to be SOOOO SLOOOOOW that I had to return it and get a Lexar 12X card instead for actually a lower price.
This was about 1.5 years ago, cards are getting faster now, but the original Sandisk cards are still the same mind-numbingly slow cards they've been for years. This card will work, but you may be frustrated by the slow speed.
I highly recommend the Sandisk Ultra II cards, which are super fast, or the high speed Lexar cards like the 80X. You should be able to find them for not *too* much more than the Sandisk original card. |

Check out: //www.buy.com. it's 168, but you can get a $15 off coupon (says valid for new customers, but it lets me have it, and I'm an old customer).
//www.xpbargains.com/click.php?id=15836
That makes the price $153 or so, but you will have to buy somemthing else so the total before coupon goes to $200. Or you can use this coupon to buy anything else.

I just got a 1gig ultra II from zipzoomfly for $98 with free 2 day. I don't know if that deal is still up though. But there weren't any rebates! |
