I can't access Adobe CC tonight ( or CS6 for that matter, which I own). A dialog box keeps coming up saying that I'm using a Trial version, which I am not. It won't let me in and Adobe customer support is non-existent until tomorrow. Is anyone out there having the same issue?

Sorry to hear your having an issue Frank, my CC seems to be operating ok.

it's working fine for me. Adobe knowledge base says to try this:

Solution 2: Use Adobe Update Manager to update your CS6 products.
Launch the Adobe Application Manager from the shortcut or alias.
Windows: Choose Start > All Programs > Adobe Application Manager
Mac OS: Choose Applications > Adobe Application Manager
In the Adobe Application Manager, click Updates in the upper left to select it.
Click the Update All button located in the lower right.
After installing all available product updates, complete steps 3-14 from Solution 1.

All my updates are up to date. I can't get into CC or CS6, but Lightroom seems to be fine. I'll have to wait to call customer support tomorrow.

Adobe customer support works 24/7. I have had several problems in the last weeks and I always found some operators to chat with at all hours, day and night.

Well apparently Tech support only works now M-F 5AM to 7PM PST. I got someone today, who I am sure was in India and pretty hard to understand. After several attempts he was able to uninstall and reinstall Creative Cloud. All is well on my end now.

This is the future and the reason I am sticking with what I have now, forget the cloud rubbish, they can shove it up there rather hard.

That all sounds good until you want a new model of camera. They will only support it in CC.

Any new camera should come with RAW-conversion software -- once you've saved in TIFF (or other "universal" format) any version of Photoshop back to 2.0 should work. Yes, it may take an extra step to get it into Photoshop, but that step won't involve paying ransom a subscription fee to Adobe ...

The alternative is to do your conversion in Lr. Lr is still available as a perpetual license. Of course, you'd have to keep it current, which means shelling out for the major upgrades at $79 USD per upgrade (currently). Assuming that these upgrades occur at roughly 18 month intervals, that works out to a little less than $5 USD/month, still less expensive than the CC alternative, and means that I don't ever need to upgrade my CS6 (perpetual license) to CC, if I choose not to.

Not true: LR supports the new cameras. You can still upgrade ACR through LR and do your RAW processing there, then export to CS6.

I am the process of just such a gesture.

I started using Photoshop around version 6 or 7 I think, 7 was simple and efficient and CS wasn't bad, but I like CC the best for the added features.

I think it's well worth the $10 per month.
