I assume you mean "In the visual arts, shapes are often..."?

1. Geometric shapes:
Are circles, rectangles, squares, triangles and so on - have the clear edges one achieves when using tools to create them.
Most geometric shapes are made by humans, though crystals are also considered to be geometric despite the fact that they are made in nature.

2. Organic shapes:
Are shapes with a natural look and a flowing and curving appearance.
Organic shapes and forms are typically irregular or asymmetrical.
Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

So I'm thinking that when the word "Organic" is used...it's plant/human/animal form? Am I correct?

That's not defined. It's up to you to make of it what you will, and up to the voters what they think of your interpretation.

You and your mathematics and I and my 'nature stuff' finally are on the same page!
(When I first saw fractals in Byte Magazine eons ago, I wished with all my heart that
I had paid attention in math classes.)
