Been up to my eyeballs and then some with work. So for the last 3 weeks or so when I get home I just get everything ready for the next day, grab supper, check DPC and email and fall asleep...more or less in that order.

However am taking the next 4 days off to recuperate so after bowsawing up some deadfall and getting woodshed ready for winter firewood, should have time to hack away at some critiques then!

Got 2 done, one an HM...always a lot tougher when it's on the front page!!

Back on August 23 I offered a challenge to my fellow members to get started again critiquing entries.

You know, for a while this challenge worked? Look at all those who joined in by September 4th with great plans to do more!

While on the subject of Critique Club.
Is there any way to request a critique for an image that was submitted in the past (challenge over and everything)? I could only find the "I would like an indepth critique on my submission" option during the challenge submission.

As far as I know, you only have the option for a CC if checking the box at submission. Don't believe you can do it after the fact.

You can always post a thread in the forums asking for critiques on an image. (At least I think you can do that.) And if you had a particular image you wanted a critique on, you can PM me and I'll give it a go.

It appears that the critique club has died again. I have done 2 images....but I am the only one :-(

Come on guys / girls we need a few more critiques. Lets try to knock out some back log

The Critique Club. Yes, it's still in existence.
Here's a shout-out to sidpixel who has done 89 critiques in the last two weeks.
Cowboy221977, and some other rather wonderful faithfuls who have delved into the pile from time to time and have done
amazingly well in dealing with the requests for critiques that come in from every Challenge.
What our members may not understand is that these requests never go away. So if the current queue is empty,
these volunteer critiquers just go back into the 'stacks' and clear up some of the 65,000+- requests that went uncritiqued before roll over.

Now, back in 2010, I was the leader in critiquing. For one reason or another, I pretty much stopped. But, dang it, I'm still the leader!
Awww, come on...

So this is a great thank you for those who are giving of themselves to help our community understand photography a bit better,
and a nudge to the rest of our community who just don't get it yet.
