To have family members who support you when you want to try a new shot? The only time one of my daughters wants to help is if "it's going to fun, sitting here is NOT fun!"
Well, excuse me for wanting to try something new and for wasting so much of your precious time. I'll remember that the next time I'm shoveling horse shit so you can ride.

| My husband really, really wants to help sometimes. The only problem is he wants me to do things "his" way, not help with "my" ideas. Also, he's always in a hurry! |

Sounds like someone's about to get blisters on her fingers...

My wife will help me out with most shots -- but she is also alwasy saying that she will be glad when I get tired of photography. **shrug** for her it is all very new for me, for me it is something I have always liked but was never able to get involved in until digital. :D
It is nice to have the help, but her attention span could be longer -- two or three card fills and she will find something else to go do while I am reviewing the latest download. I'm just getting into it by then. :(

Isaac is almost always helpful, but my budget runs more like two or three frames ...

I'd ask her if she has a better idea for a winning photo which is more fun to shoot. |

Then submit it and when it gets the brown ribbon, tell her: "See: my ideas were better. At least MINE got x score!" |

I don't even try to include my wife in my projects, as I know it would strain the relationship. She hates digital cameras (too slow), Digital photography (Too much work & you never have printouts), computers (Whenever I sit in front of it I spent too much time).
My youngest son is cooperative though. At 4 he doesn't know better. The 6 year old always pulls a stupid face whenever he sees a camera. |

Maybe she should take a turn shovelling horseshit. If she's old enough to ride, my guess is that she's fully qualified to operate a shovel.

I guess I'm just flat-out lucky! My wife even offered to bare a breast for nudes, but only if I called it "Gravity Takes Over."
My kids will joyfully run around, calling me "Camera Bee"...they actually think I work for DPChallenge...but then again, they are 6 & 8, and have had a lense in their face most of lives. It might end one day, but I'm sure going to milk it while I can.
Good luck with yours! |
