Speaking of the Peace Bridge shot, I like it very much but there are a couple aspects that bug me. One is the previously-mentioned haloing on the bridge/sky border areas. The other, and more significant, is that the composition feels off to me: the bridge is truncated very awkwardly in the upper left corner, and you have rather too much water and not enough bridge detail as a result. I'm pretty sure you ended up that way because you didn't want the extreme distortion that comes from pointing the camera up more, but that can be fixed in two ways: You can step back further, if that's possible, and crop the resultant image, or you can use Photoshop's excellent perspective-correction tools to square things up in post-processing.
The B/W conversion is very nice. Overall, I'd have given this a 6, and it would have been a 7 if the composition were a little more apt. |
