Sorry I hate all these posts telling people about the new kit, but now its my turn and I just have to tell someone ......

Canon 16-35 EF f2.8 L yesss! - my first 'L' glass

Sorry, now thats out of my system, I'm going to go plan a nice trip out to see what it will do.

Let us know what you think! I'd love some wideangle glass myself, but can't afford it right now..

I just bought the 17-40mm f4 L last week. The 16-35 f2.8 is, - from everything I hear (...and see), - an awesome lens. Whether you get more than twice the quality for twice price of the 17-40 is questionable for me, ...although the speed gain might be worth it. I'm about to do a couple of weddings and the extra stop would have been nice...

Congrats on the purchase. I'll also be looking forward to seeing some post of images you shoot with it.
