Hello,
I have been here for a little while now and I have learned a lot from all of you. However... before I found you I took these photos of my cousin

I do have a few more I think are ok also.
Any feedback would be great.
Please keep in mind This was my first time.:)

I like the first one - nice composition but I would include whole arms or crop it to have just torso and the head, the second looks overexposed on my screen.

Agree with artvet on the second looking overexposed.
Also I am not very fond of deep DOF in portrait-kind photos. a shallower DOF would work better IMO

The distinct face draws attention, but I agree with gaurawa,it would be better with shallow DOF.

Thank You for all of your comments,
this was basically just a test for his mother to see if I could do it. They didn't want to spend the money on your typical senior pictures. My cousin in the pictures didn't want any pictures taken. We pretty much forced him to do it, so he wasn't really into it anyways.
