Took this in town last week. Would appreciate any critique.....am more comfortable with models who have 4 paws :)

somehow it looks a little out of focus to me. May be you tried soft focus, but I am not very happy with the finall effect. |

Little bit too soft, the licence plate is distracting, I would try it from a different angle, ...but it is just easy to say.

I have to respectfully disagree, the softness makes this a very nice picture, just sharpen the eyes and you have a great picture, just take a look at some of the old b/w masters, excellent,
Just my opinion of course,

How do I sharpen just the eyes? And thankyou guys for the comments, they help :)
I want to try to improve with my people shots, took the following photos at a rest home when we were visiting with the dogs.....they're sort of ok but could be a lot better.
