which do you prefer? (challenge: mirror)

1. Dragon Spine
2. Midnight Dancing

i had very split opinions so far, and a lot of trouble choosing which to put in for mirrors.

By far the Dragon Spine... That's a one in a million shot man.

Midnight Dancing has much nicer colours and definition in the flames; partially because there is less overexposure. Dragon spine, however, is much better compositionally and offers a more defined context. I think you chose the right one.

Midnight Dancing is way cool -- but without the title I probably would not have noticed the figures right away. Without the connection between the two subjects, they compete for attention.

I would say that Dragon Spine would also take me a while to notice the dragon shape, but even without the title it has a composition that stirs the imagination. Very nice capture, and definitely the better of the two for submission.

Personally prefer Midnight Dancing by a wide margin.

Don't like the way that some of the reflection is cropped out in Dragon Spine - if it were not cropped like that, perhaps I'd prefer that one. But it makes a massive difference for me.

Very cool idea, btw!

For me, Midnight Dancing because you can see all of it, but they're both pretty cool ... er, hot.

i had the same opinion at first, but the more i looked at it, the more the shape of the dragon became clear. eventually i chose the dragon as my fav of the two.
i showed it to a few people before submitting, and everyone went through the same process. at first, midnight dancing for the warmth and full reflexion, and then they chose the dragon's spine.

anywya, thanks for the comments

I like them both a lot, but prefer dragon's slightly...I'm not sure exactly why...

They're both excellent, though!

I don't know if anybody else noticed, but Midnight Dancing has a demon/devil face on the right...
