ETA: The same technique with a vanilla bean instead of ginger will make a superior cream soda (concentrate) ...

[quote=RyanW]...and for those who have never used REAL maple syrup to replace sugar in your coffee, you're missing out, and i don't mean aunt jamima stuff, i mean real, from the tree and boiled down syrup).

Yep, eh...not for nothin did a lovely maple syrup pour shot get 4th place in Local Flavours!

Anyone interested in the process of sugaring (on a very small scale) can check out the Maple Gallery in my portfolio. Yes, 100% pure Canadian maple syrup does cost around $20/litre, but if you've only ever had the synthetic crap (ie anything in a tall squeezy bottle labelled *table syrup* or *maple-flavoured* like Aunt Jemima, Mrs Butterworth etc)...then all you've had is corn syrup coloured with caramel and flavoured with fenugreek. Ewwwwww.

Most real maple syrup is packaged either in clear glass jars or, in Quebec, cans. Don't know why, but that seems to be the preferred method in la belle province.

Happy Canada Day!!!

As for the pestering Langdon thing, if he can't see that it's a worthwhile challenge, that's his issue. We know we are awesome, as do many users here from around the world.
Maybe Langdon had a Canadian Girlfriend in High School, and someone found out that having a Canadian Girlfriend is cover for being single and teased him about it, resulting in a dislike for Actual (as opposed to fictionally created) Canadians... ;-p

Isn't a tornado cause by the hot air and changes in winds?

Didn't the politician recently depart for their summer break... do you see the relationship there eh. You should be thankful you don't get more. :O)

Yeah eh I noticed that too...and up until about 2hrs ago it sure looked and felt all just right for a big-ass tornado and/or thunderstorm...but now it's all gone and cooled down and sunny...dang. There goes any hope for shooting lightning tonight!
