A little more than 6 months ago, I bough a Sony V1, which I really love. I don't intend to get rid of that soon, especially because I still have LOTS to learn. However, the main thing I miss in the camera is a manual focus ring. If I were to buy my next camera, to be similar to a V1 in terms of quality/resolution/options, with the addition of a focus ring, what do you guys think would be my best choices?
I really like Sony (almost every electronic I have is Sony), but I'd be willing to change brands. :)
Thanks in advance! |

I think the F717 would be a great choice.
A about died when I saw it on close out at Comp USA for half the price I bought it for less then a year ago. So If you can find one, its a great deal.

I was thinking the same thing...
If I was going to get another none slr to carry around this is what I would get.
A friend of mine has it and it just takes awesome pics..it feels good in your hand..and has tons of features...lets you get really creative.

If I were to buy it right now, the Fuji would probably be my best option, because if I bought one of the Sony's (maaan, that F828 looks awesome!), I would have to either keep my V1 or buy a cheaper camera to take around (especially when I'm in Brazil.. those big cameras would not stay with me for long...).
Thank you for the offer, hsteg, the F717 was actually one of my options when I bought my V1, but some features and the price led me to the one I have now. I am not planning to buy the camera right now, so it will still take a while, but thanks again! Good luck on selling it. :) |
