I just finished watching "The Last Waltz", a film by Martin Scorsese on the last tour of the The Band.
It has Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and a lot of other legends with some of the best music ever by The Band. (Cripple Creek, The Weight etc..)
The best 'Rock Film' of all time. And Scorsese has a real photographer's touch. You will love the camera work in this...some of Scorsese's best work ever. |

Take particular note of the beautiful 35 mm camera work. (Thats 35mm motion picture work..but the clarty is as good as still)
Incredible clarity, and the camera guys are very talented. This movie alone has more ideas for camera angles and composition, silouhette work, negative space, color saturation, spotlight effects etc, etc.. than several photo books combined. All this and the music just rolls.

That's a great video...I have had it for years and still enjoy it. Definetly contends with the best of 'em.
