My niece is a junior and starting to look at colleges which specialize in fine arts and photography. She's interested in staying on the east coast of the US. The school should offer an accredited bachelors degree.
The school should offer a major in fine art photography.
Any advice or leads appreciated!

Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond has the School of the Arts. It is a fine institution and very competitive to get into. I tried and failed, the application missed the deadline:(

Rhode Island School of Design or Rochester Institute of Technology
Those are the only 2 that I can think of, not sure how fine art oriented the programs are, but they are well regarded. I went to school on the West coast, if she ever becomes interested in California schools, I can help more. |

| R.I.T. is a great school for photo! It has a great program, as well as mass art, and monserat. if she's lookin for suny schools, purchase, ferdonia, she can also look at alfred and new paltz but im not possitive on what their programs are, still good to look into. I'm at sage right now and they just took their photo program to 4 years (if shes looking to say home or in the capital area) |
