So I got my 2.2 gig magicstor, which I hear is a pretty poor quality drive... but What I don't understand is...
1. Why doesn't the camera turn on some of the time when the microdrive is already in?

2. Why can I hear the microdrive doing stuff while the camera is off? And I think it's eating away at my battery while the camera is off.

What's going on? This isn't normal is it?

Is the main dial at off or the camera is off because the auto shutoff setting?
What's going on? This isn't normal is it?

for 1. If the microdrive is in the camera, and I try to turn it on, sometimes it refuses to turn on until i take out the card.

for 2. When I say the camera is off, I mean the power switch is set to off.

Well, you are not the only one, read this:

If I were you, I'll return the microdrive.

Good Luck
