2. loyalty or devotion to some person, group, cause, or the like.

... see if you can get the viewer (voter) to immediately interpret your photograph as illustrating the concept of "Allegiance".

I see a lot of photos of people with hands on heart, looking at a flag. At least for US entries, I'm not sure what is done in other countries.
