In the Cinco de Mayo thread, there is discussion about how many of the challenges are US-centric. I agree. What are some non-US challenges you'd like to see? Someone mentioned Boxing Day. We could use these types of challenges to learn more about the world, and each other, in addition to coming up with a photo.

So have at it. What would you like to see?

After 331 challenges I could write a book about US culture ;)

I understand the complaints about cinco de mayo -- however, just because it's more in the US than in Australia, doesn't mean it's easily accessible. I'm incredibly disappointed with my entry because it's something that anyone could have done, and I couldn't get anything that really was the true spirit of the challenge.

The closest Cinco de Mayo celebration that was a real celebration (that I could find) was an hour away, and I didn't have time that day for 2 hours of driving. Otherwise, there were a few restaurants that offered drink specials, but nothing really more than that.

I felt embarrassed that I couldn't offer anything better. But I wanted to enter the challenge.

Let's explore other cultures so we don't keep embarrassing the one.

I'm in NYC all day every day and I couldn't easily find a celebration. Maybe there was one, for an hour somewhere in the middle of the day but I work. So I did my best.. just as I would do if the challenge were non US.

The challenge announced at rollover last night isn't US-centric. What's to complain about?
