This image was created from two shots.
First I assembled the images in Panorama Factory, then in Photoshop I straightened and cropped, used levels to "fit" the histogram, boosted saturation a bit and increased local contrast with the USM method of low sharpening (25%) and high radius (60.) Finally, I sharpened with normal USM settings and resized.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Ara

I need to learn to use Panorama Factory. I can never get my shots to line up right. This looks very natural and its a great photo. The walkway on the left and lighthouse on the right give it perfect balance. Just great all around :)

Thanks for the comment!
The main thing with PF is to get your shots off without twisting the camera. Try shooting with a tripod. Also, if you have a lot of foreground elements, it will be difficult for the program to compensate for the parallax errors.

Seamless. Very nice. Good comp and pretty colors. I love lighthouses!
Aerogurl - You just load the pics in the order they need to be stitched and PF does the rest. Try hard to keep the camera level (use a tripod!) so the pictures aren't all over the place. That should help them line up better, too. I used PF to stitch 36 images together. Most of it looks pretty good but one of the images had exposure probs.

Thanks for the advice. I used a tripod last time I tried to make a panorama but I think it was the lighting that messed it up so bad. I'll try it out this weekend if I can think of something to photograph :o)

ButterflySis - Thanks!
aerogurl - another important thing to do is to find a good exposure for all of the pics in your panorama then lock exposure at that setting. also, locking white balance helps a lot.
