Two days ago I was processing pictures and was using Topaz filters as plug-ins in PS. Today I go to use a topaz filter and they are greyed out and not useable. I uninstalled them all and reinstalled. No help. Any suggestions? |

I should say not working as plug-ins. Only as part of EfexLab which stinks as they will not do raw files in efexlab. |

not sure what program your using but in Ps if I don't have my file (picture) active then all the plug-ins are grey. Also if you don't have a "Background" as your first layer things will be gray for you....(i.e. your first image can't say Layer 0, it must say Background)... |

The image has to be in RGB mode as well. Topaz won't function on LAB color, CMYK, or grayscale. Also won't work on 32-bit images (what you get out of some HDR merges). This in addition to what Janine just suggested.
