Our HR director here at work recently passed away. We will be having a memorial service for her in a few weeks, and one of our employees has written a song for her, and they want to run a slide show while she sings.

Would it fall under fair use to find images on Google or Flickr and use them in the slideshow? It's not a public service and there will be no profit generated.

Not an expert, so YMMV.
Profit does not matter in infringement. Distribution does.
Since the memorial is not public, only those present should be able to see the images.
I don't know if that qualifies as fair use, but I'm guessing the chances of being challenged on it are quite small, unless someone asks or thanks the image owner(s) for use of their image.
Posting the song / slide show on the internet is a whole different kettle of fish - definitely distrubtion. On the company intranet that requires authentication to access may be OK, but I'd say there'd be an increased chance of it escaping into the wild...
