OK, OK I am starting to understand what poeple want, and maybe, just maybe I should have entered these others instead of my action geese pic LOL
I was leaning towards the pelican in the storm waters or the last pictures of the geese just preening... but No, I thought everyone would have enjoyed the one I entered which was this one, just because I love birds in action doing something other than looking cute.. I just may learn but I really need to start going with my instincts just a bit more over than what I think everyone else may like..the link pictures are all unedited and straight from the camera

There are two schools of thought here at DPC:

1.) Enter what appeals to the voters. Do this if you are looking for a good score. Be warned that some voters don't like "eye candy", so you will get some lower votes.

2.) Enter what appeals to you. While you may not always score high, you enter what you like, and may get some decent feedback. You may also get a few high scores.

If that wiggly goose is what you like, enter it.

I stalked the area looking for another glimpse of this guy. Only saw him one more time and I was as far as I am when this shot was taken. I watched him for about 10 minutes. Clearly he was having fun sliding around on the ice.

Others from the same swamp (which was created by the beaver I actually entered a shot of. Well, not this exact beaver, but he lives there now with about 4 others and they are very active):

This guy was going to be the subject of my Wildlife entry if I had the time to go back and shoot him again during the challenge. Oh well, I suppose it's good to be busy.

I'll upload it to my portfolio to post later.

I wasn't thrilled with the outcome on this challenge I thought it should have placed higher but hey it's my pic so of course I think that.
I am really excited to have sold prints of each of these so I guess I have nothing to complain about.

Wow, Jackson! You're right! Those horses! They should have scored higher. That is an amazing photo.

Here's the one I almost entered. It was actually my favorite, but a good dpc buddy, who didn't enter (or vote) insisted I submit my deer instead. Glad I listened... even tho... I have to admit, this one still is my favorite.
