Nope.. no moon this side of town

Clouds cleared, in total eclipse now, proved extremely challenging to shoot. Hoping I got a least a few keepers.

Perfect, clear sky, moon started to eclipse and then the clouds came in... Haven't looked but I'm pretty sure I didn't get anything good

The single entrant so far could get the blue and the brown in one go!

Ha! That would be a first! Much rarer even than the eclipse!

I thought it was a 48 hour challenge, but the info shows it as a 7 day one.

Well, it's not the best picture of the moon ever taken, but it's submitted. Now the week long wait for our 48 hour challenge to enter voting.

The weather cooperated here in S W Florida. A cloud bank moved in and covered the Moon just as it was coming out of the shadow and about 1/8 bright.

I would LOVE to enter it but I am not a member, first time shooting such a moon which was so dark, I ended up using

F11
ISO 100
15" long exposure shutter speed

I am happy they just turned out somewhat.. I wish I had a 500-1000mm lens thou

Good luck to the participants, I am sure your shots will be better than mine :-))

I was out there from 2:30 - 3:15 AM. Mine turned out too dark or to blurry. I can't enter any of them. :-(

We got a break in the clouds at 3 AM, I got a shot from the deck, barefoot, in 45 mph winds. Nothing special, but it's in.

what's the scoop - is this due tonight or in 5 days?
04/15/2014 08:36:24 PM · #45
I assume in 5 days. But I should probably get mine in just in case.

He hasn't seemed to shorten the time (too often) when it gets posted long...

Should be deadline tonight, but it would be hard to counteract the announcement.

Okay if it's later. My entry has been submitted.
