I ordered it from Amazon a couple of days ago...it's in customs waiting for taxes to be levied...
Online reviews were pretty good. I wonder if anybody has used it here?

I happen to own a smaller and older generation Yongnuo TTL flash, the YN468-II (Nikon version).
It's a cheap (costs about a 1/3 of an equivalent native brand flash) and solid flash. It tends to overexpose sometimes in TTL mode (on camera) when used as a direct flash with my D3200, but i almost never use it that way. When bounced it seems to have no issues with consistency as well as in manual mode. Apart from this and the fact that low battery warning comes way too late (the flash is already misfiring occasionally) i have no real complaints.
The 565EX is supposed to be bugger, more powerful and wireless slave capable (E-TTL commanded by an E-TTL master flash) plus some additional advanced features like external battery port.
I wish you happy flashing with your new 565EX

thanks...your experience seems to be like others that I've read about. I'm willing to tolerate a bit of funky behavior at this price. |
