Then you can pass that info along so in the future we can stay away from the line.

why would you want to stay away from the line?

As to revealing the "reason" for a proof request when we make it, the downside of that is the possibility that someone will tailor their submission/explanation to avoid being tarred with that particular brush. MOST people won't, we know that, but on the off chance that someone's willfully breaking the rules and trying to hide it, it's just not a good idea to pass that information out.

Maybe I'm not saying it right. IF people think I'm walking the line or trying to cheat it would help to know that information so I can steer clear of it in the future. Like I said earlier I'm not savvy enough to walk the line on purpose so if I accidently end up on the like I would like to know it.

What red flag did this 82nd place image raise under the advanced rule set?

So I don't have to keep validating images.

If you look closely at the top of the image, you'll see that although it's not in your processing description, you cloned water texture into the brightest reflections at the very top, as evidenced by the repeating patterns. This caused somebody to question whether the entire top was cloned water, and there had been a horizon line behind the boat. It was an honest question. If you'd posted in image details that you'd cloned in water texture to fill blown-out area at the top, the question probably never would have been asked.

at least people are looking closely enough at your images to question validity.

Thanks for the breakdown Bear but your only half right. There was a land mass behind the boat but it was NOT cloned out it was just cropped out. Very poorly at that, but that's all I could think of doing and that's why I had to throw the rule of thirds out the window.
It wouldn't change the site or call anyone out if you (the sc) had just mentioned that during the validation request.
