If you had a time machine, you could go back and change an entry (or submit a different one) based on the voting and comment feedback.

This challenge lets you do that. It runs once for three days...then once for four days, then for a week for a third time. Only the third time counts. All other images and comments are discarded (or maybe hidden in your profile like a self DQ).

You can submit the same image all three times, editing it in the second or third iteration. Or you can change the image completely (e.g., use an outtake instead). You can of course do any legal editing between "takes".

Topic is open...free study.

(Not sure if Langdon could (or is willing to) pull this off. But it would be fun and educational!)

Ok, you lost me with all the time traveling, but I think a time machine challenge (without all the re-entering) would be a wickedly fun challenge. Expert, please :)

While a time machine themed challenge would be cool, it's not at all what I was after here. The topic wasn't really meant to be time machine, but someone mentioned a time machine in a thread and how they could do better if they had one...and it made me think of this.

Perhaps a better way to think of it is "three tries" (or successive iteration). Meant to be a learning by voter feedback situation.

Two entry draw poker challenge?

Fascinating idea.

Wouldn't this be better ran as a month's worth of weekly repeating challenges? Each with the same topic, and allowing for refinement on the next week?

I think the voting would be skewed, since after the first one you would know whose picture they all belonged to. Picking one of your past entries and re-shooting it, improving it based on the feedback would work and be quite interesting.

This seems to be too complicated for regular challenges but sounds like a really interesting side challenge.

No one would know...there are no results of round 1 and 2. It just starts over with the next phase.
