I gave 5 9's and 5 10's as well as several other high scores but those 10 shots were truly spectacular. This is the best challenge in awhile.

I was in the low end of yours, then. I keep going down
.. 5.6 now.

Hmmm just did the math. Last two votes averaged 3.5

Last time I suggest a depressing subject! Puppies and kitties from now on!! ;P

I had very few under a 6 and while possible, it is unlikely I gave you lower than a 6

4.8x - I usually know when something's going to bomb, but this one really surprised me. It's depressing....

I didn't enter this challenge even though I'm the one who suggested it together with description some time ago. I really wanted to enter but couldn't force myself to take a picture. Anyway, the entries are actually depressing. The challenge wasn't too easy IMO. Well done everyone! I'm very glad this challenge finally happened.

I hadn't known that you had suggested it when I suggested it a month or so ago -- so they took it and added it to your thread. So I probably should have said "last time I bump something depressing." ;)

Yes Wendy, I bumped it when skewsme posted link to this thread in your thread. And you said something about it but then your thread disappeared. Anyway I was glad the idea was revived. So thanks :)

I'd say "my pleasure", but I posted in the mist of a particularly bad depressed day...

So... umm... my displeasure? :)

Anyway, I thought it would be interesting, as well. I'm really sorry you didn't shoot for it. I would have loved to see what you came up with. I think my problem was I wasn't that depressed when shooting. :)

Thanks. Hopefully I'll get to use my idea some other time. I had too much going on this time.

I know the feeling. I ended up with a 10 minute shot for a challenge that I really wanted to shoot well. I probably should have held on to my idea... But it was fun anyway. :)

Why sure I do. Smithereens are the droppings left by a bear after it eats Smith and Doreen - and of course they're (now) a component of bears!

Yes. I thought of using the original form: (from Irish smidiríní), but I figured people might recognize smithereens more than smidirini... :)

And I figured you'd probably hire Cory to help blow things to smithereens.
