Does any one know what pricing is expected for the upcoming 580EX Speedlite?
And the ETA for USA or Australia? |

I asked that question yesterday at Photo Continental (Brisbane, Aussie -tralia) and they were expecting the price here to be the same as the 550ex is now.
They had no idea when it might be released though. The guy said there were still a lot of 550ex's in shops and he thought Canon would delay shipping the 580's until stock numbers were lower.
However, I don't think he knew what he was talking about on that issue (he was great on other issues) as nobody is going to buy a 550 now unless they can get a substantial discount on it.
Interestingly, as usually we are so behind here .... they already have the battery grip for the 20D (although all now sold :( and they also have the new EF-S 17-85 USM IS lens ... neither of those have even appeared oat B&H for instance (who I use as my yardstick).
