Is it legal to remove lens flare under the advanced rule set, or does it come down to how much of it there is? I have an entry in current challenge and just not sure what to do with my flare.. |

is it a challenge in voting? If not, you can send it to SC via a "general inquiry" ticket with your question. Please also send us a resized copy of the original so we can compare the two. |

Depends whether you have a "flare" for drama ;-)
The real answer is, it does depend on how much of it there is. Ask yourself if removing it would change how you'd expect someone to describe the photo. Is the flare a prominent component of the composition? If so, then not. If it would not be likely to change anyone's description of the shot, then it is probably legal. if you are uncertain, you can always ask ahead by submitting it to the Site Council for review. |

Thanks guys, frisca its coming up for rollover in a few hours and now im off to work so no time for SC im afraid. I should have thought of that last night when I submitted entry. kirbic after looking again I would say its definitely not prominent enough to change the viewers perception of the shot but for now im going to play it safe and leave it where it is. |
