I know there have been many posts of these old photos, colorized and such; but here are a few more.
Since I believe in the power of monotone, I couldn't help but feel that many of the photos are much more powerful
in the colorized version, especially in the side by side contrasts- could it be the simple fact of the color being more modern and making history come alive, or perhaps is the monotone side made to look "less constrasty" - or what.

First, they were really well colorized!
I don't know why, because I really love b/w, but so many of these do look great colorized. |

just to note, boringly, pedantically, that there is an enormouse enormous enormuss difference between colorized (sic) and colour photography. |

Amazing. There is something about seeing old photos in color and recent photos in BW. |
