Just opened a portfolio website. I am yet to choose more picture to put on it. For now there are 3 galleries. You can check the site out at //photos.mis.is.

Please tell me what you think. And if you think there is something missing or something you don't like.

Great stuff, Arni. I like the "Backstage with Minus" gallery the best. I would love to know how you processed those shots, cause the colors are great.

Very nice work.
Simple and professional looking.
I like the Gallery Seventeen, very artistic and creative.

I get that affect not using my flash. Took them at iso 800 and the light in there was this yellow.

Sorry dude, but the "gallery Seventeen" reminds me of sneaking up on room mates while they are asleep and then editing the pictures in Microsoft Paint while drunk. Decent shots, just didn't like the scribbles.

"backstage with Minus" is much better. I like the color tones, lighting, and cropping for most of the pics. Good work.

"Fly" is good also. It has good coloring and use of negative space. However, I'd have cropped some of the pictures to have more of the subject shown. As it stands right now, the majority (all of 'em?) have 75% black space around them. While this is good for individual shots, I found it a little too much for a whole series of shots.

Overall, good stuff :)

I have to strongly disagree here. I was very impressed with gallery Seventeen. I like the bold neon color outlines and the scribbles around the figures. very cool and stylized, in my opinion.

Thanks for the comment. I like it when people say what they think. People don't have to agree all the time. That would make life boring.

The Galleri Seventeen album was a advertisement shot I took. The bodies form the number 17. And It looked much better with their eyes closed. The art around it was done to make people see the 17 more clearer.

In the fly series I wanted to do something different. Not just these extreme close-ups of a fly which I think is boring. So I went this way having a lot of negative space.

You rock, Arnit. Your new site reminds me why you are in my Favorites list. My favorite gallery was Gallery 17. Extreme cropping was great, lighting and general camera work, as usual, was excellent. The neon paint and the scribbles were a great idea, but the scribbles looked too computer-ish. Perhaps a thinner pencil would be better? You also might try various opacities on the neon painting so we could see through to the models. Or perhaps you could paint just outside them, overlapping only once in a while? I'm sure you've spent literally hours experimenting.

Backstage with ..... was also great. Your close, emotional portraits were my favorites there.

Fly was okay, but didn't engage me as much, though I was captivated and interested by the extreme cropping.

Fun stuff, all!

Thanks. I'm gonna have to try this technique now. :)
