So, I was looking over a powerpoint in a poetry unit that I had found online that would help describe "imagery" to my 8th grade Language Arts students. I was previewing it in preparation for the class in a few minutes and come across this image. .

I was like "I KNOW that picture!" So, here I am finding the backstory on Rosalinda to share with my students. :)

DPC meet class.

Class, meet dpc.

Very cool. It is an amazing image. Was the photo properly credited in the PowerPoint presentation?

If you refer to this then they're not at all similar. The Lange photograph is real while the other is not. They're both very good photographs but for very different reasons. I make the distinction between them only because the OP is about "Imagery" for Language Arts students, so real versus affected should be relevant.
